What is the Lake Nona Impact Forum?

The Lake Nona Impact Forum is a convergence of top thought leaders representing academia, industry, healthcare delivery and government to collaborate and exchange ideas for improving the nation's health and health care.

Committed to unlocking innovation to create sustainable health communities and advance the quality of life, the invitation-only forum seeks to explore the intersections of wellness, sustainable living and education through inspiring presentations, interactive innovation sessions and high-quality networking with key leaders bringing a range of insights and perspectives.

What is the Lake Nona Institute?

The Lake Nona Institute is a non-profit, community-focused organization that incubates, activates and measures the impact of innovative technologies and programs that can become global models for building healthy, sustainable and inspired communities. At its core, the Lake Nona Institute believes that individuals in the social context of a community can and do have a profound impact on wellness, education and sustainability. Our projects build on the foundation of promoting individual awareness, empowerment
and collaboration.

The Institute focuses on programs based on three pillars of Health & Wellness, Education and Sustainability. Along with collaborative partners, we seek to develop a strategic architecture for a new health and wellness ecosystem designed to support optimal health within a community.

What makes the Lake Nona Impact Forum different and unique?

The Lake Nona Impact Forum is an intimate, invitation-only gathering of 150 delegates selected for their passion and expertise.

Among our aims is to generate new ideas that might first be applied and tested at Lake Nona, but have the potential to be replicated and scaled to a national or global level.

The majority of our national delegates are corporate executives, entrepreneurs, academic experts, innovative policymakers and select national media representatives.

A small group of regional delegates will be comprised of Lake Nona Medical City partners and select community and regional leaders.

What is the cost per delegate of the Lake Nona Impact Forum?

The Lake Nona Impact Forum, designated meals, transportation and hotel accommodations are complimentary for delegates and sponsors. Delegates will be responsible for arranging and paying for personal air travel and transportation to and from the airport.

Lake Nona Medical City’s anchor institutions, the Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute and the University of Central Florida College of Medicine will be joined by Nemours Children’s Hospital and the University of Florida Research and Academic Center in 2012 and the Orlando VA Medical Center in 2014.

Innovative partnerships were critical in developing the initial infrastructure for Lake Nona. Now the collective impact of Lake Nona’s many collaborations can be seen working on multiple fronts through initiatives like the Lake Nona Institute.
